  • WHOA there!

hey there Xanga! Nice seeing you again.

why yes, I have been insanely busy! I hope you're doing fine yourself.

No, according to other Xanga-ers I did NOT fall off the face of the earth. I simply took a lengthy...2 year break. not a big deal.

I also have something to confess. I kinda..sorta..joined blogspot. ouch. I know. I tried not to! it's just so tempting!

    well...until next year..

  • God is good.

    Like, curling-up-with-a-blanket-and-a-cup-of-hot-chocolate-without-spilling-any kind of good.

So, even when my spine hurts enough to feel like it's practically splitting, I can somehow still smile and say "God is good." how? The power of the Holy Spirit.

When things get bad, all I have to do is simply lean back and count my blessings, and GOSH do I have so many!!! God has blessed me with a fantastic family, awesome friends, the amazing thing called CYT, lots and lots of books, and a nice piano. Not much more in life even necessary.

So, that's my thought today~"the Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord."

  • WOW. Okay, a lot has happened since this morning!!!

So I had writing class today-basically the best thing that has EVER existed. It's awesomeee and I got home about half an hour ago, to discover that we're getting a 2 year old boy named Antonio from Safe Families today. My mom is off right now to go pick him up. So please pray!!! God is awesome!!!
  • We had our high school youth group, EDGE, last night. EDGE is always awesome, but last night was extra awesome. there was this guy there with Special Needs and in a wheelchair named Mark. He was there and kind of alone, so Dannah and I decided to befriend him, and so we hung out with him and stuff.

Then we did worship. It was so powerful to watch him close his eyes and lift his hands and sing every song by memory, a big smile on his face because he was just so thrilled to meet with God intimately. Why can't the Church be as thrilled to meet with God as Mark is? With huge smiles on our faces and filled with joy to spend time with Him?

  • Just within about today, I feel like I'm about 5 years older. I never thought starting high school would make me view my life differently, or think of others in any different way. But my mom is starting to discuss college with Doug, and talking about his future and his plans makes me realize how short these few high school years are. I don't want to just sit back and watch my high school years fly by right in front of my eyes. I want to make it all last, so when I do go to college I can look back and smile at my good memories. <3

    Fall makes me think deeply.
